Kalnų dviračiai, arba MTB, yra populiariausias dviračių tipas Latvijoje, nes jie yra patvarūs ir jais galima važiuoti įvairiomis kelio dangomis, bet kokiu reljefu, tačiau jie nelabai tinka važiuoti ilgus atstumus asfaltu, nes plačios padangos su protektoriumi atima daug dviratininko jėgos. Kalnų dviratis paprastai yra gerokai sunkesnis už panašios kokybės kelių dviratį.
