ELi standard N1078 sätestab minimaalsed ohutusnõuded täiskasvanute ja laste jalgrattakiivritele, kuid nõudlikumad ja riskantsemad jalgratturid võivad valida MIPS- või WavCel-turvasüsteemide pakutavad kõrgendatud ohutusstandardid.
