City and casual bikes

City and casual cycling is one of the most widespread bicycle segments/modes in major European cities with a well-developed cycling tradition and adequate infrastructure.

City bicycles are designed to be as easy to use as possible in an urban environment - they are compact, often with smaller wheels than other types of bicycles and have a particularly low frame shape, which makes it easier to start/stop cycling.

City bikes are designed for everyday use, so they are comfortable to sit on. These bikes are equipped with mudguards and a rack, often with a front shock absorber, but may have a limited shift range.
